Living The Island Life

I am new to the blogging thing and labored a while to figure out what I was going to blog about, so I decided to brag about how much I love the community I live in and the effect it has on me. Galveston is such a uniquely different place to live. One thing I realize as I sit on my deck and watch the Pelican's fly by in a almost lulling, flowing pattern, as they all seem to dance in this same pattern they orchestrated about the same time every evening. I am still amazed at seeing the rhythm of it all. I wonder about how it would feel to fall in line, be part of that line up and fly in succession with the rest of the Pelican's. I laugh at the thought. I am thankful for the blessing to be able to enjoy God's creation so raw, in awe of it's magnificent beauty. I have so many of these moments it shocks me sometimes. You see I tend to be one of those type "A" personalities who at one time in life rarely stopped to notice what was going on around me. Living the Island life brought me to a point were I have to slow down, stop and enjoy the things I wasn't aware of before. It amazes me how much my prospective has changed since I moved to the island and now understand how much of my like I took these things for granted and now understand that it is a privilege to be able to take in the beauty of my surroundings. So today step outside, take a walk and look and listen for something that you haven't taken the time to enjoy lately, like a babies laugh, or a unobstructed sunset and watch nature takes it's course.YOUR GALVESTON ISLAND REALTOR
