After many years of planning and developing Friendswood has it's very own lake, Lake Friendswood. The lake came to pass from a sandpit that was used in the 80's to develop the communities in the area. Eventually the pit filled with water creating this 40 acre lake. The lake opened to the public today and is open from dawn to dusk.

The lake has a walking trail with five exercise stops in various locations around the lake. This family friendly lake encourages fishing, kayaks and row boats, but swimming and power boats of any kind are not allowed. Enjoy a relaxing day of fishing around the lake and take advantage of the BBQ pits and park picnic areas. Coming this summer - restrooms, parking lot and pavilion. The city spent $960,000 to create this little piece of wilderness for all to enjoy.

This lake is so close and easy to get to you can go every day. Lake Friendswood is just off Davis Road. You must enter through West Ranch. Click on the following like to see homes available in West Ranch
