The Galveston Beach Challenge is Sunday, August 18th, 12 pm – 4:30 pm CST, 6th and Seawall Blvd., Galveston, TX 77550.  Check-in begins Sunday, August 18th at 11 am CST.  This challenge has been handcrafted for families. Families values and beach fun can only leave life-time memories with your loved ones.  The Galveston Beach Challenge teams up families competing against other families in fun outdoor games and activities for the three prizes in the heart of Galveston. 

Official Rules

Participate in all stations.

Each family must participate in all stations at least once.

In case of a tie.

If two or more families are tied, the families will play a Jenga match to break the tie.

The stopping point.

At 4:30 PM local time, the family with the most points will be the winner of the grand prize. There are prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

4+ Family members required

At least 4 members per family are required to participate.

Ages 8+

Everyone is welcome but in order to play, participants must be 8 years old or older.

Play 3 times max per station

Families can repeat stations no more than three times max.

Required check in time.

Check in starts at 11:00 am and the challenge beings at noon.

To participate, all family members must complete an Accident Waiver and Release of Liability Form. See

  • Sack races

  • Sandcastle building

  • Limbo pole content

  • Volley balloon

  • Giant Jenga

  • Memory cards

  • Giant Battleship game

  • Giant dominos

  •  Bean bag game
