Handy Tips For Before, During, & After a Storm

Before

  • Talk to your insurance advisor to be sure you have the right coverage. ๐Ÿ“ฑ

  • Listen to weather advisories. โ›ˆ๏ธ

  • Cover windows with plywood.

  • Repair loose boards, shingles, shutters, guttering, and down spouts.  These items could become problems in high winds and torrential rains. ๐Ÿ› ๏ธ

  • Make a home inventory and take photos. ๐Ÿ ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ“ท

  • Turn your refrigerator to the coldest setting so food will last longer if the power goes out.

  • Stock up on emergency supplies.  This includes a battery-powered radio, flashlights, extra batteries, medicine, a first aid kit, and 5-7 days worth of non-perishable food and water. ๐Ÿ“ป๐Ÿ”‹๐Ÿฅซ๐Ÿ”ฆ๐Ÿ’Š๐Ÿ’ง

  • Charge your cell phone and fill your car with gas. ๐Ÿš˜

  • If evacuated from your home, wait for official notice to return home.
